Let’s go over the entire process so you can better understand how the Invisalign treatment process works:

Dr. Kayvon Nezhad is an area Invisalign Preferred Provider for the system, meaning not only does he performs a large number of Invisalign treatments each year but he’s also been through extensive Certification I and Certification II trainings and continues with advanced education courses.
The system is now available to treat a variety of cases, whether simple or complex. We will also discuss costs, dental and orthodontic insurance, and answers any questions or concerns you may have.
2. Get your treatment plan
Once you are approved for Invisalign, a customized treatment plan will be planned out for you. In order to customize the treatment aligners, x-rays, pictures and impressions of your teeth are taken.
Next, Dr. Nezhad will evaluate these to determine the exact movements of your teeth, so a treatment plan can be mapped out and you can know the approximate length of time that the treatment will take. Most treatments take about a year, but it varies for each patient.
3. Custom aligners will arrive
Based on your personalized treatment plan, your custom aligners will arrive ready for you to begin treatment!
The aligners are made of BPA-free plastic that are guaranteed to be comfortable to wear. Unlike typical braces, Invisalign aligners are smooth so you don’t have to worry about them irritating your cheeks and gums.
4. Change aligners based on treatment schedule
Most patients typically have to put it a new aligner every two weeks in order to continue progressing in the treatment process. If worn properly everyday for 20 to 22 hours per day, you will begin to notice each stage will get you closer to achieving a straight smile.
5. Show off your new smile and take proper care of it
You successfully completed your orthodontic treatment! Now that’s something to smile about.
Most patients will require a retainer be made and worn to insure that your teeth don’t move out of place. We will assess your teeth to determine what is necessary so you can keep your new smile looking great all the time!
